What makes it different?

Cups sit lower in the vaginal canal and use suction to stay in place — which can cause bladder pressure, cramping, and removal struggles.

Discs are different: they sit at the base of your cervix in the vaginal fornix (a natural pocket), use your pubic bone to stay secure (no suction!), and have a pull-tab for easy removal.

It's why so many cup-dropouts find their perfect match with discs.

Will It Actually Prevent Leaks on Heavy Days?

Yes! This isn't just about capacity (though 70mL is massive).

The Solance Disc's firmness rating of 4.5 means it stays secure and fully open inside you — no collapsing, no gaps, no leaks. The patented notch and non-slip rim keep it locked in place, even during exercise, sleeping, or swimming.

Heavy-flow users are our biggest fans.

Is It Good For All Ages and Experience Levels?

Absolutely.

FAQs

How long does it take to learn how to use it?

Most women get comfortable within 2-3 cycles, with optimal insertion technique appearing after consistent practice. The first few tries may feel awkward, but it quickly becomes second nature.

Can this disc help with cramps and discomfort?

Yes! The medical-grade silicone doesn't absorb like tampons do, which means it won't worsen cramping. 64% of users report significant cramp reduction after switching.

Is this disc safe for 12-hour wear?

Absolutely! Our formula is medical-grade, BPA-free, and body-safe, making it safe for extended wear. Always follow the recommended wear time of up to 12 hours.

Can I use this disc while on my period and during intimacy?

Yes, the disc sits in your vaginal fornix (beneath the cervix), making mess-free intimacy possible. Most partners don't even notice it's there.

Will this disc leak with heavy flow?

The 70mL capacity holds what 6+ super tampons can't. The 4.5 firmness rating ensures it stays fully open for leak-proof protection, even during exercise or sleeping.

Does it help with recurring yeast infections or discomfort?

While the disc isn't a treatment for infections, it doesn't disrupt your vaginal pH or absorb natural moisture like tampons do, which may help maintain better vaginal health overall.

Are there any side effects or discomfort?

Most women find it more comfortable than tampons or cups once properly inserted. If you experience initial awkwardness, your body is simply adjusting to the new method. This typically improves within 1-2 cycles.

Can I use this disc if I have a low cervix or unique anatomy?

The flexible medical-grade silicone adapts to most anatomies. The disc sits differently than cups (no suction!), which is why many women with low cervixes find discs work perfectly when cups didn't.

What happens if I stop using the disc?

You can switch back to any period product at any time. We recommend making the disc part of your routine to maintain long-term period freedom and comfort.

Okay, I’ve had three periods with this. And I feel like I can give an honest review. Listen, I too was skeptical, scared, unsure of shoving something into my body, but after learning that some tampons have lead and just wanting to save some money too. I will never use a tampon again. Best decisions I’ve made.

Now - a few things. I don’t like to have this in if I have to 💩. Just the position in general I feel like if going to push it out some. I only empty it if I know I’m right by a sink. When I go to the bathroom I tend to check it and make sure it’s in place and still tucked behind, I have yet to find it not in place. Insertion really is not that scary, it’s just kind of like a road and it just goes right up to where it’s supposed to sit. With the last period, I have noticed it has stained a little (not nearly like that one review) but I’d assume with time it likely would. But, I can also use this on a light 🩸day. Also- NAILS, I tend to have trouble getting it when I have nails, I am scared of germs, so unless I can scrub under my nails, I’m not putting them in there, the area that holds the blood is thin - so I worry about tearing or popping a hole it in. I know some people recommended lube, just use water. And def make sure to clean it regularly, I bought a little holder for it off here (it collapses) and I boil water and let it sit in there. Once I’m done, I dry it and store it in the thing too. I’ve never used a disc or cup before, so this is my first. The cups scared me because people said they used suction, to me that was intimidating, but the disc seemed perfect. I will likely purchase other ones from other companies to see, I’m interested in that one with the loopy holes you can use to pull it out.

If you’re thinking about it, just do it. Save yourself some $$, def do your research and take some time to get to know your body 🤗

I'm seriously never going back to disposable pads and tampons after this. I used it for the first time during my last cycle and OH MY GOD! It didn't leak AT ALL the entire week. Granted I emptied it more often than every twelve hours (about every 9 or so), but regardless it held its seal so well. There is a learning curve to inserting and taking it out (mostly because it can be a bit messy) but I think it's totally worth the money for the comfort and security promises it follows through on. If I didn't have other symptoms like cramps and nausea, I wouldn't feel like I'm menstruating at all.
PSA: I don't recommend it if you keep your nails long since it can be uncomfortable to remove with longer nails because of the way you have to grab it.

In love so far! I have an extremely heavy flow and was sick of burning through tampons and pads. A few months ago I got the Flex disposable discs to test them out. Took a bit of trial and error but once I got it they were great. I decided to get a reusable one and ended up getting the Cora Disc and the Diva Disc to try. Neither worked for me and I got discouraged spending money on them. I went back to tampons for a bit and recently decided to retry the disposable ones and realized maybe they made a reusable with the same shape and style. Turns out they do (don't know why I never checked before) and it works exactly the same as the disposable for me! I can wear it 12 hours with minimal to no leaking (I've still been using with a pad until I feel more confident with it), it auto empties when using the bathroom, and so comfortable it's like it's not even there. On lighter days I use it with only period panties. This is such as life saver and money saver!

Couldn’t recommend it enough. I’m 28 and have never used a tampon, or cup in my life - pads only, so this was a completely new, and somewhat daunting experience. I was scared it would get stuck inside, which is the reason I never bought a cup, but this one seemed less likely to create a hard to break suction and get stuck, so I went for it. I definitely struggled the first couple tries to get it in properly, but on my 3rd attempt I did it perfectly and now have no issues. I have no leakage, I can’t feel it, and if I didn’t experience pain (I have Endo) then I wouldn’t even know I was on my period. Absolute game changer, sucks I’ve spent 14 years menstruating without this lol. Only downside is price, however I would pay that all day long for the benefits, and it is a bit messy changing it, but you only have to do it once every 12 hours, so it’s no big deal having a bit of a mess twice a day. And it’s super easy to take out which was my biggest concern, will never use another period product again

I started out with moon cups, later found this disc type and found it much more comfortable. I also used to have an IUD, and the mooncup hurt pretty good on removal. This disc is really nice, very thin layer in the middle, but it seems to work. I also own a ziggy cup and the diva menstrual disc and I am not using the ziggy cup anymore as I find the wide band very painful. The diva disc works well for me, too, and it has good protection from auto-dumping. I've just started using this flex disc and it feels better, less painful, so far holds everything in well. I haven't experienced the auto-dumping yet so I'm not sure on that, otherwise it's really nice to see a clear disc, it was super simple to insert and stays in well.
